Parking & Access.

Our installers require parking close to or on-site for a large van. Since countertops, panels, and units are heavy, we aim to minimise the distance our installers have to carry materials to the job site for safety reasons. Please ensure that parking is available, along with any necessary permits. It is also important to provide safe and clear access to the property, meaning there should be no skips or scaffolding obstructing the way. If access is not safe or clear, our installers may determine it is unsafe to proceed.  Additionally, any other trades working in the path to the job site, such as in the driveway or hallway, will need to vacate the area during the installation. For installations at houses, our installers may need space in front of the house for a skip bag or skip, if required. In the case of apartments, we will handle waste removal. Please ensure there is clear access to the kitchen through the hallway or side entrance, and make sure to clear any side tables, wheelie bins, or other obstacles for easy and safe access.

WORKING AREA & PREPARATION FOR INSTALLATION.

Before installation, the area must be completely clear of obstructions such as uninstalled appliances, tools, clutter, and furniture. Ensure that the space is free of items like wall-hung pictures, clocks, plug-in appliances (e.g., kettles, toasters, microwaves), and any dust sheets covering the units. Please empty all kitchen cabinets and remove any items from above the wall units. Integrated fridge freezers should be cleared of all food and other items. Additionally, downlights on fly shelves above windows must be disconnected before installation begins. We kindly request that any other tradespeople (painters, electricians, plumbers, etc.) vacate the installation area during the installation to avoid any hindrance to our team. If you are replacing worktops, please note that there is a slight risk of tiles coming loose from the wall during the removal of your existing worktops. There may also be breakage during installation. If your kitchen has been resprayed by a third party, the side panels (gables) beneath the worktop may chip or come loose due to tight paint adhesion. Kitchen Fix Ltd will make every effort to mitigate these issues, but will not be liable for any repairs. Our installers will need to access the mains cold water shut-off valve and hot water tank (immersion) to temporarily isolate the water while your new sink and tap are installed. During this time, toilets, showers, and basins will not be operational. Please ensure these areas are clear and accessible, and show our installers where the shut-off valves are located in your home. Note that these valves may be seized due to lack of use over the years. Our installers will notify you of any issues that arise during the water isolation process. We may also need to access the street footpath shut-off valve if necessary.

If you are not changing your worktop, you may disregard this information. Our installers will set up a cutting station outside the property, approximately 4 meters by 4 meters, in proximity to the work area. Please keep this space clear. They will also require access to power outlets in the house to plug in their power tools, so ensure that there are available sockets. We will not conduct gas works or connect electrical hobs and ovens unless specified in the quotation. For worktop replacements, the gas hob must be disconnected by an RGI-approved installer before work begins and reconnected once the work is completed. In some cases, the gas hob may be connected with a flexible hose, which will also need to be checked by an RGI-approved installer after the installation of the worktops. For a new kitchen, all existing appliances must be disconnected and removed before work begins. Our installers will not remove your existing kitchen unless this service is included in the quotation. The cost excludes all first and second fix plumbing unless specifically mentioned in our quotation or order acknowledgement. Our fitting cost includes the installation of all appliances supplied by Kitchen Fix, but it does not cover connections unless stated in the order acknowledgement.

SIGN-OFF.

For the installation, we require you or an authorised individual (such as a partner or parent) to be present on-site to sign off on the installation. If you are unable to be there, please report any issues noticed after the installers leave via email within 24 hours. We will provide an approximate timeframe for the installation the day before the appointment. Please be aware that delays can occur due to the nature of the work, and our installers may run late. The person present on-site will be responsible for signing off on all aspects of the installation, and they should communicate any issues to the installers. Kitchens Fix cannot be held liable for any goods that were not ordered from us and subsequently become damaged. Once items are delivered to the site address, they are the customer's responsibility. We accept no responsibility for the loss or damage of goods once they are on site. If any damages are discovered, they must be reported to our office at 01-5529035 within 48 hours. After you have agreed to the design and paid the deposit, you cannot change the design or order. We will mutually agree on delivery and installation dates. If you need to reschedule any confirmed dates, please provide us with at least 10 working days' notice. We depend on our suppliers and contractors to adhere to the agreed timeline. However, we cannot guarantee that specific dates will be met, as delays may occur due to circumstances beyond our control. If such a situation arises, we will keep you informed throughout the process. If your site has access restrictions, we may need to modify the design to facilitate the delivery of goods. We will strive to inform you of any necessary adjustments during the design stage. For instance, if delivering a long work surface is not feasible, we will redesign it to use shorter lengths instead. If the Company is unable to supply any of the Goods at the time of delivery, it will offer the Customer an alternative option, along with any necessary adjustments to the Price. If the alternative is not acceptable to the Customer, the Company may, at its discretion, allow a deduction in the cost of those Goods from the total Price. Additionally, once the Company has conducted a survey, the Customer shall not make any alterations to its premises or the existing equipment that could impact the installation of the Goods. Any changes requested by the Customer before the commencement of a survey must be submitted to the Company in writing. The Customer acknowledges that such changes may result in delays in the delivery of Goods or the provision of Services, as well as potential additional costs and charges. The Company will not be held liable for any issues arising from these changes. Furthermore, the Company reserves the right to make reasonable modifications to the Goods and Services in order to align with the agreed design within manufacturing tolerances and due to the use of outsourced materials. Any such modifications will be communicated to the client and must be approved before manufacturing begins. After the survey, any changes made will be documented in an updated order acknowledgement provided to the client. A delivery and installation date will be scheduled once we receive a signed copy of this update. Timber is a natural product, and as such, Kitchen Fix cannot be held responsible for natural variations in colour or pattern. The best available match will be supplied with each order. Please note that our manufacturing guarantee does not cover accidental damage caused by you or general wear and tear that may occur over the years of using your kitchen. This includes, but is not limited to, misuse, knocks and scratches, water damage, natural mellowing, and damage from placing hot or heavy objects directly onto work surfaces. Our guarantees cover only manufacturing or fitting defects and apply only to work carried out by Kitchen Fix. If there are any manufacturing defects in the supplied goods, Kitchen Fix will coordinate with the manufacturer to arrange for replacements. However, please note that the liability for any manufacturing defects will lie solely with the manufacturer. We strive to provide excellent aftercare to all our customers. However, if there is an outstanding balance owed to us after the kitchen installation, we will not be able to honour any guarantees or perform remedial work until your account is fully settled. Additionally, we may require payment for any extra work upfront. Due to EEC directives, we are unable to dispose of refrigerators or freezers. All waste will remain on-site unless specified otherwise in our agreed quotation. If needed, the disposal cost can be included in the installation fee. Please note that all drawings and plans are for illustrative purposes only. It is essential to verify all measurements for accuracy before installation.

Supply-only kitchens will be delivered and placed at a location of your choice.

**Force Majeure** – The Company shall not be liable to the Customer in any way for destruction, damage, delay, or inability to carry out its business due to circumstances beyond its control. This includes, but is not limited to, war, civil unrest, strikes, lockouts, industrial disputes, utility service failures, transport network failures, fire, storms, explosions, f loods, bad weather, machinery breakdowns, malicious damage, compliance with any laws, governmental orders, rules, directions, regulations, acts of God, or the default of suppliers or subcontractors. Additionally, the Company shall have no liability to the Customer for any circumstances that are outside the Company's control. **Note**: These terms and conditions do not affect the statutory rights of the Customer.
